Recipe>
1. One pack of yam cubes/peeled yam (cut into small chunks)
2. All purpose flour (1/2cup)
3. Bread crumbs (1/2cup)
4. Eggs (2)
5. Onions (chopped)
6. Scotch bonnet
pepper (chopped)
7. Dry pepper (1tsp)
8. Sardine, 1can (optional)
9. Curry and thyme (¼ tsp)
10. Garlic glove (1; crushed)
11. Season cube (1)
12. Veg. oil and salt.
PROCEDURES>
(*Step1*) Get your frying pan, on a medium low heat;
Add some few drops of veg.oil, once the pot is hot, add your chopped onions, bonnet pepper and garlic glove, stir and combined. Set aside in a clean plate.
(*Step2*) Get another clean pot, add two cups of water (enough to cook the yam)
Add the curry, thyme, dry pepper and salt (allow to boil a little).
(*Step3*) Add the yam cubes to the boiling water, allow to cook through.
(*Step4*) Once the yam is cooked, bring them out and put in a clean bowl, and water (some few drops).
(*Step5*) Mashed the yam together without any lumps (use your spatula to turn/stir and combine together).
Add your sardine/fish, your onions and garlic mixture (from step1).
Mix thoroughly.
(*Step7*) Get another small plate of flour.
**Another small plate of whisk eggs
**Another small plate of bread crumbs.
(*Step 8*) Use a measure spoon to scoop the size of yam balls you want (as preferred) from step5.
After scooping, use your hand to roll and form a ball shape with your palm.
(*Step9*) After moulding, deep the yam ball(s) into the flour.
**Next, deep into the egg mixture.
**After that, deep into the bread crumbs.
**Finally, drop the coated yam ball(s) into a deep frying veg. oil;
On a medium low heat (ensure the oil is hot before frying).
Once it turns golden brown…Our yam balls are ready!
**You can serve with sauce (optional).
