HOW TO MAKE CUSTARD SWEETENED BREAD 🍞🍞🍞

 Recipe>

1. Flour (1cup)


2. Dry yeast (1tsp)


3. Sugar (4tsp)


4. Custard powder (2tsp)


5. Milk powder (2tsp)


6. Salt (1/3 tsp)


7. Lukewarm water (½ cup)


8. Liquid milk (½ cup


9. Veg.oil (1tsp)






PROCEDURES> (*For the custard*)

1. Get a small pot on medium low heat, add your liquid milk, custard powder and sugar (2tsp). 


2. Mix well and keep stirring. Cook it until thickens. 


Bring it down and let it cool completely.


Set aside. 




(*For the dough*)

1. Get a clean bowl; add your flour, yeast, sugar (2tsp), salt and powder milk.


Mix well and combined.


2. Add your lukewarm water gradually and make soft dough. 


And some drops of veg.oil and knead for 5mins.


3. Grease or sprinkle some oil around the dough, cover and let it rise for 30-45mins in a warm place/room temperature.


Knead dough for 2-3minutes again, and divide into six (6) or more parts.



4. Mould each part(s) and cover with kitchen white nylon in a bowl.


Bring out each dough, roll it out and flatten the dough.



5. Scoop out the custard cream with a spoon 


Place on the dough ( in the middle)  and seal the edges like that of meat pie shape 


(repeat the process for the rest of the dough).


6. After filing and sealing up the dough, place them all in a tray and let it rest for 15mins

(cover with a clean napkin).



*STOVE METHOD* Get a big pot, add some salt (spread and level it)


*OR* put a rack inside the pot, and allow to heat for 10mins on medium low heat.


1. Then place the baking pan (already grease and lining with parchment paper) 


Add your dough (2 or 4; Do not overcrowd)



2. Cover the lid and allow to cook on medium low heat.



4. After 10mis, flip the dough, grease and allow cooking on the other side for 5mins (or once it turn brown).  


Once it done, bring them out and allow cooling


(Repeat the same process for the rest dough).



*BAKING METHOD*

1. On your baking tray, lining with parchment paper, place all the dough

(Do not over crowd)


2. And bake in a preheated oven 18oc for 15mins (or until it turns brown)


Once it done, bring them out and allow cooling.
